History
Advanced Audio
of Alabama, Inc. first opened for business in Decatur,
Alabama, October 8, 1966, as Advanced Audio & Alarm.
In January of 1967, Advanced Audio and Alarm moved to Huntsville,
Alabama, as Advanced Audio of Alabama, Inc. In November of
that same year, the company sold its interest in the alarm
business to dedicate full time to Sound Contracting and design.
In 1969, the company
began providing services to the government and industrial
markets. In that transition, the company provided consulting,
design and engineering services. These services included
turnkey projects for both large and small government and industrial
sound systems, conference systems and special applications.
Advanced Audio of Alabama, Inc. was selected to design the
specification package for the Extended Air Defense Test Bed
at three strategic military installations. Through this
association with government services, the company again expanded
to include video and high-resolution data graphics displays
in war rooms, conference centers and industrial training centers.
The company's experience
and knowledge in the sound and video markets made it a recognized
single source for complete legislative and courtroom systems.
In 1999, the company was selected to design and install the
municipal video arraignment system in the new City of Huntsville
Municipal complex and jail. This was the first video
arraignment system installed in Alabama. Advanced Audio
continues to provide systems on the cutting edge of technology.
